Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This policy describes what memply.app stores on your device, what for and for how long. It complements the privacy policy, which describes the processing of your data as a whole.

1. In short

We only set cookies that are necessary to run the site: for signing you in, for security, and so that the cookie notice does not reappear on every page. There are no analytics, audience measurement or advertising cookies, and we do not embed third-party services that set cookies.

2. The cookies we set

memply_at
Keeps you signed in. Only set if you sign in. Not readable from JavaScript (httpOnly). Lifetime: 15 minutes.
memply_rt
Renews your session so you do not have to enter your password every 15 minutes. Only set if you sign in. Not readable from JavaScript (httpOnly). Lifetime: 30 days.
memply_cookie_notice
Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice. It contains only the version of the notice and the date you confirmed it — no identifier that could be used to recognise you. Lifetime: 12 months.

All three are set by memply.app itself (no third-party cookies), restricted to “SameSite=Lax”, and in production they are only transmitted over encrypted connections.

3. What we do not use

  • no analytics or audience measurement cookies
  • no advertising or retargeting cookies, no ad networks
  • no social media plugins (“like” buttons and the like)
  • no fonts loaded from external servers — they are hosted on our own server
  • no third-party map services on this website
  • no A/B testing or session recording tools

4. Why there is nothing to choose

Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) does not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, and the Spanish data protection authority AEPD takes the same view in its cookie guidance. Those are exactly the cookies we set — which is why you get a notice rather than a selection panel.

Should we one day use anything beyond that — audience measurement, for instance — we would ask for your consent first, through a banner with equally prominent accept and reject buttons, and before the first such cookie is set. This policy would be changed accordingly.

5. Deleting or blocking cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. If you delete the sign-in cookies you will be signed out; if you block them entirely, signing in to memply.app is no longer possible.

You can bring the cookie notice back at any time using the button in the footer.

6. App, partner portal and administration

The MEMPLY app does not use cookies; it stores your credentials in the encrypted keystore of the operating system. The partner portal and the internal administration interface store the session in the browser’s local storage. Both are required for signing in and are described in more detail in the privacy policy.

7. Changes to this policy

If what we store on your device changes, we change this policy with it and update the date of the last change. If something is added that requires your consent, we will ask beforehand.
